Bible Portion: Romans 1:16 (KJV) -- "For I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greeks.

Reflecton: To follow Jesus means to acknowledge that the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation TO EVERY ONE WHO BELIEVES. This means that before the POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION transforms us to be like Jesus -- or before the character of Jesus will be reflected in our lives -- before we can rightfully follow Jesus -- WE MUST BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST -- We must accept Him as our Savior -- we must be baptized -- we must allow God to claim us as His child because we have forsaken our old self and and we allow God to transform us into the likeness of His Son - Jesus Christ."
